More than half way through my series of Pitch Formulas to start your year off right. This one involves using the name of a famous person or group. Media is always interested in celebrities. This pitch connects them to a talent, characteristic or knowledge anyone would like to have.
Formula: "What you can learn from _____
about _______"
Examples:
What you can learn from Warren Buffett about investing your way to wealth.
What you can learn from Olympic Athletes about
achieving your dreams.
Use a celebrity name currently in the news to make a pitch especially timely. For example, What you can learn from Tiger Woods about _________. Or, What you can learn from Tiger Woods about how NOT to _____________.
These formulas are from Radio Publicity expert Alex Carroll,

who just launched the free service ReporterConnection.com. The examples are mine. (DISCLOSURE: I am not an affiliate of
either of them and receive no benefit of any kind if you choose to work with

Happy Pitching in 2010!
